Rehability UK specializes in supporting adults with complex needs (including, but not limited to, Autistic Spectrum Condition, Learning Disability, and Mental Health) to live their best possible life. We never stop striving to provide friendly, professional, and inspirational services that we’d want to experience ourselves As Support worker you will join our supported living service Based in Coventry n, where we support individuals to live their life. People we support have Learning difficulties and will require assistance in personal care and completing their daily tasks as well as all activities planned for the day.

**THE ROLE**

This role includes support with day-to-day tasks in the home and in the community - it may be supporting our residents going out in the morning and taking them to an activity in the afternoon. Assisting them to get ready in the morning, helping with shopping, cooking, or cleaning.

This is a great opportunity to build strong and positive relationships with brilliant adults, professionals, their families and help each of them to find further independence and confidence throughout adulthood life. You will find yourself getting stuck into fun, long walks, outdoor educational trips, and an interactive and practical hands-on activity.

The job entails supporting adults in developing key skills and continue being happy to thrive in life

The existing team members are passionate, dedicated, motivated and are committed in offering a safe and supportive environment to work colleagues and more importantly to each of our service users.

**Main Responsibilities include**:

- Provide personal care to individuals (dependent on package of support)
- Support individuals in line with their person-centred plans
- Support individuals in the day-to-day tasks involved in ordinary living
- Administer medication (dependent on package of support)
- Raise any safeguarding concerns regarding the individual
- Enable individuals to gain and maintain independence
- Support with individuals’ finances
- Take individuals to social activities
- Organise medical appointments for individuals
- Record daily activities
- Maintain family and friends contact with individual
- Maintain daily paperwork to a high standard

**Essential Skills**:

- Committed to and passionate about supporting and developing others
- Has a person-centred approach, seeing people as people, irrespective of disability
- Have a clear desire and commitment to working to company values openly and honestly
- Shift pattern could include days, evenings, nights

**Desirable skills**:

- A Full UK Driving License (preferred)
- QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care (preferred)
- Ability to priorities actions to achieve goals set
