Job description

**Permanent, 37 hours per week**

We are seeking to recruit an Instructional Designer & E-Learning Assistant to join our newly established Distance Learning Team. This is a new role, and you will play an integral role in the delivery and development of a high-quality learning experience, supporting the University’s distance learning initiative and targets.

You will work closely with academic staff and the Distance Learning Unit to design and create high-quality digital course materials, as well as providing pedagogic and organisational support to staff regarding the design, templating, organisation and use of Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL). Additionally, you will be involved in designing and delivering workshops for academic staff and other stakeholders on the production of digital material in collaboration with other members of the DLU.

You will have excellent organisational skills and will be proactive in identifying innovative uses of TEL, working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders. Proficiency in using learning technology systems such as Teams and experience with screencast software will be an advantage.
