The Children and Young People's Therapy Service (CYPTS) are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic and creative Therapy Support Practitioners, who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children/young people with Physical, Learning or Communication Difficulties.

We have a vacancy for four fixed term Therapy Support Practitioner (Band 3). There is a post based in each of our four Area teams; Mendip, South Somerset, Taunton and Sedgemoor Teams. You will be required to travel to meet the needs of this caseload.

Please note a driving license is required for this role.

This post will provide you with the opportunity to develop integrated working with colleagues from Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech & Language Therapy, carrying out and progressing children through programmes of individual and/or group therapy and evaluating the effectiveness of this. The position offers a varied caseload and you will work in different settings such as schools, clinic and family homes.

We have an excellent supervision and support structure in place, as well as a peer group forum to assist you. We have a robust induction programme and there will be opportunities for you to be involved in wider service development projects.

Our service was rated ‘Good’ in all areas at the last CQC inspection and the quality of the service provided by the CYPTS has been recognized at both national and local levels.
