**Trade Counter Sales Person**
HDG Farm Supplies Ltd is an independent, family run business offering a complete range of agricultural products to the farming and rural sector.
Established in 1976, the company has shown consistent growth and is currently in the process of moving to a new purpose built premises at St Clears, Carmarthen to accommodate further expansion plans.
**An exciting opportunity has arisen to join HDG Farm Supplies as a Trade Counter Sales Person at our new store.**
This is a permanent position, 40 hours a week Monday to Friday, working as part of a friendly, hard-working team whose aim is to build our growing business and to deliver the highest possible level of customer service.
**Duties**
To assist in the day to day running of the trade store alongside an established team
Serving customers over the counter in a prompt and professional manner, helping to identify their requirements and booking goods out on our computer system
Receive incoming telephone customer enquiries with an excellent telesales manner in order to increase sales from current customers and to acquire new business form new customers, and giving technical advice and support where necessary
Being precise with the paperwork trail from quoting to supply, and the checking of goods inwards and outwards.
Merchandising and replenishing stock
To support the success of all promotional campaigns
Picking orders for customers when warehouse staff are busy
Performing any other duties as may be deemed necessary or as may be required to meet the needs of the company and maintain its reputation
**Experience & Qualities required**
Agricultural knowledge or background essential
AMTRA SQP preferred, however opportunity to gain this qualification available
Customer focused with attention to detail, following through customer enquiries, requests and problems and deals with them promptly
Personable and friendly
Positive & committed attitude
To be able to conduct a manual handling role, and occasionally operate a forklift
Ability to speak Welsh is desirable but not essential
**What we offer**
Competitive salary : £22,000 to £27,000 dependant on experience
