**Job Purpose**

Primarily working within the Cellulosic Fire Protection product development team, you will work on prioritised projects to help develop next-generation products through screening various technology platforms and building a fundamental understanding of fire test behaviour and key standards, and environmental weathering testing and standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Uses best practice/past solutions to carry-out, evaluate & interpret experiments. Under direction from manager conducts adhoc and industry recognized testing to evaluate prototype formulations
- Assist with scale up manufacture; RM stock keeping, pre-batching & filling and QC
- Manage the planning & day to day requirements for assigned projects/support activities.
- Collate results & produce reports
- Make recommendations for next steps & communicate key results to colleagues in weekly/biweekly meetings
- Conduct, participate & evaluate trials/inspections.
- Work safely & comply with legal & company regulations.

**Job Requirements**
- Secondary education & 6 BCF Level 3, NACE 1, City & Guilds equivalent.
- Experience working in a busy laboratory.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
