Provide seamless care and interventions in partnership with women and other care providers during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period which: Are appropriate for womens assessed needs, context, and culture. Promote their continuing health and wellbeing. Are evidence-based. Are consistent with the management of risk.
Draw on the skills of others to optimise health outcomes and resource use. Refer women who would benefit from the skills and knowledge of other individuals: To an individual who is likely to have the requisite skills and experience to assist. At the earliest possible time, supported by accurate, legible, and complete information which contains the reasoning behind making the referral and describes their needs and preferences. To support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service, all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate NNUHs PRIDE values of People focused, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence and demonstrate behaviours that support and encourage an inclusive culture.
