Our aim is to provide support to vulnerable young people so they can gain the life and social skills necessary for them to obtain and maintain independence when they move on. We do this by ensuring young people work with fully qualified staff who will support them in running a successful tenancy, looking after their property, engaging with education, training and employment and meeting all other support needs, tailor made to the young person. Landlords who approach us about renting properties to us can do so with confidence.

**Job Description**:
**Post Title**:Live In Carer (Young People and Adults)

**Hours**:7 days/nights on - 7 days/nights off (Rotation)

**Remuneration**:

- Between £700 and £850 per week inc food allowance (depending on experience and qualifications)
- Flexible rotation patterns to suit your availability.
- Free accommodation and food while you’re living in a customer’s home on placement
- Ongoing dedicated care and support from your supervisor.
- Up to 28 days of paid holiday a year, plus pension contributions

**Location**:West Midlands and Gloucester

**Qualifications**:

**Essential Skills Required**
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Up-To-Date DBS
- ** Qualified to at least NVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care**:

- Any other relevant training: substance misuse, child protection, challenging behaviour
- Competent in report writing and completing all necessary paperwork.
- ** Have at least 12 months experience working with vulnerable young people.**:

- Punctual
- Trustworthy
- Flexible

**Main Tasks**:

- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Can use Microsoft Office Apps and is able to carry out video conference meetings.
- Live in the young person’s property for 7 days and nights, support the young person with independence skills and household chores.
- Delivering the independence support plan.
- Complete daily paperwork and a daily report and send to the manager daily.
- Ensure the property is in order, any issues record on the report.
- Support young person to undertake general housekeeping/cleaning duties within the property
- Engage with young person.
- Complete any other checks as and when required through your shift.
- Assist the young person in cooking a meal.
- Assist young person with any educational work they may have for college or training.
- Communicate essential information with other support workers and managers as and when required.
- Be aware of your surroundings always, for the safety of the young people.
- Be able to attend all training days arranged by us throughout the year.
- Be available to attend one staff meeting, once a month on Microsoft Teams.
