**Clinic Assistant for London Hormone Clinic, Harley Street, London W1**

We are looking for an organised, efficient, articulate and caring person with customer care experience to co-ordinate our clinics, look after our mostly female - and our male - patients and provide accurate and timely administrative support.

Health care experience is not essential because full training will be given for the right person.

Our hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm with clinics morning and afternoon leaving an hour for lunch.

We will consider both full-time, part-time and job-share arrangements as we are led by our operational and business needs. We staff our clinic flexibly and responsively according to the varying demands and activity levels throughout the week. To join our team, you will be someone who takes responsibility for what you do; committed to do the best you can and will work in a team and use your initiative safely to keep everything running well with our patients firmly at the centre and our doctors fully supported.

Satisfactory references will be essential as well as a clear DBS check.

The salary offered is £33,000 per year.

Clinic Assistant
Accountable to: Senior Clinician/Director

**Purpose of the job**

Work with colleagues in running run the clinic smoothly, efficiently and with consistency according to LHC’s values and operational protocols;
Provide person-centred customer care with empathy that ensures an excellent, seamless patient experience;
Support the clinic director and the team of doctors and meet their needs working with them in caring for and providing uninterrupted treatment to LHC’s patients; and
Take responsibility for your role and understand how your performance, attitude and commitment contribute to the success of LHC and uphold its reputation.

This post combines the provision of:

- Administrative assistance to support the clinical team and minimise their workload.
- Clinic administration, preparation, associated patient liaison and all post-clinic patient and clinician actions and follow-up arrangements.
- Administration assistance as directed/required.
- Operational activities, tasks and activities that form part of the systems and processes that support the smooth running of the clinic.

The main objectives of this combined role are:

- to provide efficient administrative support to the clinical team enabling them to focus on the clinical needs of their patients; and
- to provide communication between the whole clinic team and the patients and the clinic in order to support each patient’s treatment journey with accuracy and consistency.

**Main duties - Clinician’s Assistant**

Working as a member of a small, focused clinic team, the post holder will develop open and effective work relationships with the clinicians and provide a wide range of organisational support to enable them clinician to work safely, accurately and with maximum efficiency.

The post holder will also be expected to provide sickness/holiday cover.

Medical secretarial services are currently provided by other staff but the post holder will be expected to develop a functional understanding of the secretarial role to enable them to liaise effectively with the secretary and provide occasional cover and check the content of the clinic letters before sending them out to the patients and their GPs.

The post is based at our Harley Street consulting rooms but home working may be available depending on the requirements of the clinic to be determined and agreed with the post holder on a week-by-week basis.

The clinic comprises a small team which is largely self-managed. Therefore, the postholder will recognise and work according to the priorities of the clinic; they will require a high degree of maturity and professionalism and they will be self-directed and well organised.

The main duties attached to this role are listed below. In addition, the post holder will be expected to work flexibly and undertake other ad-hoc administrative and day-to-day operational tasks as directed - or are obvious based on the clear priorities of the clinic - in order to support the main objectives of the post identified above.

The post entails access to highly confidential and personal patient information and absolute confidentiality and discretion are essential.

Administration assistance

The post holder will provide assistance to the Administration Manager to ensure the efficient and professional management of all non-clinical activities. Considerable flexibility and adaptability are required in order to undertake mainly ad-hoc tasks efficiently and with mínimal supervision.
