The New Hospitals Programme Head of PMO (Programme Management Office) will lead the PMO under Kettering General Hospital’s New Hospital Programme (NHP) and related strategic estates projects.

The PMO is responsible for the efficient, effective, and well co-ordinated function following best practice project, programme and change management of programmes, working collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical teams across UHN to ensure that the programme work streams and themes are consistently and continuously able to identify and deliver opportunities, supporting the delivery of our New Hospitals Programme and strategic estates projects.

Leadership of the Programme Management Office

Operate independently and autonomously, providing leadership to the NHP PMO team

Promote Project and Programme Management within the programme and both hospitals, ensuring there is effective communication of the standardised tools and methodologies, training available and ensuring that benefits are tracked and shared in line with organisational standards

Lead the development and delivery of the PMO approach within the programme, working with the UHN PMO to ensure an approach that is robust, based on best-practice and is able to flex to the different needs of different teams working on programme delivery.

Support the development of a culture where programme and project management principles are followed and there is transparency on delivery of the programme and it’s constituent projects and risks to delivery that facilitates improved programme delivery and consistent understanding across UHN on benefits and challenges.

Develop and nurture relationships with regional and national NHS teams working on the NHP and Programme and Project Management agenda to ensure that latest best practice is integrated into the delivery approach

Actively build and contribute to the wider PMO community across UHN to facilitate shared learning, promote UHN as a brand and learn from best practice.
