Health Care Assistant/support Worker

Staff one are looking for experienced care assistants in the Sheffield and Barnsley area.
We have clients in the care home and domiciliary sector. Shifts are available 7 days a week (long days and nights, shorter shifts are also available) Any last-minute shift requests are expected to be covered.
You will provide support to individuals in a care home or domiciliary setting. You will be responsible for caring for elderly and young adult service users, assisting them with daily tasks and personal care.
You will have a minimum of 3 months experience working in care homes or domiciliary settings, be familiar with health and safety best practice, first aid, patient moving and handling, end of life care, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care and experience working with mental health and learning disabilities is an advantage.
- NVQ in health and social care or care certificate
- Mandatory training certificates including practical manual handling.
- Current DBS
- Right to work in the UK
- Empathy and sensitivity
- Tact and discretion
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer service and interpersonal skills with a strong desire to help people
- Thoroughness and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Good team spirit
- Ability to take the initiative when required
**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
**Salary**: £11.68-£13.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
