Amber River was created in 2019. Backed by a Board of investor directors, we are building a UK-wide independent financial planning presence through a ‘hub and spoke’ strategy.

We are currently seeking a Trainee Accounts Assistant for our Colchester office. We have a vibrant newly fitted out office on Colchester Business Park and operate hybrid working with the ability to work from home 2 days a week.

The role will include:

- Reconciling income from providers onto our back office system (CURO).
- Inputting supplier invoices onto our accounting software (Netsuite).
- Raising sales invoices from our accounting software.
- Reconciling bank accounts on Netsuite to the bank.
- Assisting in credit control processes.
- Assisting in the production of month end accounts for all entities.
- Undertaking other tasks as required by the Finance Manager / Financial Controller.

We will provide in depth, on the job training across all back office areas.

We are looking for a driven individual that would be willing to further their career by undertaking AAT study and exams. These would be fully supported by us within our Professional Development Policy and study leave arrangements.

A good level of numeracy and grammar are essential, ideally achieving GCSE English and Maths at Grade B / Level 6 as a minimum.

Previous administration experience of at least 2 years is preferable along with a desire to build a career within finance.

Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.
