Rossendale School are now recruiting for an Head of Campus We are looking for an experienced or aspiring Head of Campus to join our Senior Leadership Team with a focus on Teaching, Learning and the Curriculum. This enthusiastic and inspiring senior leader would support the Deputy Headteacher and Headteacher in leading and developing the Quality of Education at our School.
We are seeking a good communicator, one who can see the potential and bring out the best in others, be that pupils or colleagues. Rossendale School is a highly regarded Special school for pupils aged 7 to 18 with an Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and/or Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We are committed to achieving the best outcome for each pupil and their family through access to outstanding education and family support.
We provide a sector-leading therapeutic provision and outstanding curriculum across two sites. Due to the promotion of the current post holder, we have an exciting opportunity to join the school leadership team.
As a member of our team, you will be instrumental in laying the foundation of outstanding standards of education and creating a stimulating and purposeful environment where our pupils can make excellent progress.
Head of Campus of Rossendale School will support the Headteacher and work alongside the SLT in areas such as:
- Providing a balanced and broadly-based education designed to enable all students to discover their strengths and to make the most of their talents.
- Oversee the quality assurance of all educational processes across Key Stages 2 - 5
- Oversee the grouping of young people taking into account educational and social needs
- Ensuring that teaching meets the complex needs of all our young people with a clear awareness of EHCP Outcomes and Rossendale School as a therapeutic provision.
- Communicating effectively within and across different teams in school.
- Ensuring that academic standards are high throughout the school, through developing the highest quality teaching and learning.
- Engendering respect for individuality, difference, the importance of teamwork and the contribution that each pupil makes to the life of the school and local community.
- Communicate the school’s vision compellingly.
- Lead by example, including in your own classroom as there will be a small teaching allocation, focusing on providing excellent education for all pupils.
- Implement strategies and initiatives to share best practice with others in the school.
- Lead on particular whole school strategies and policy areas.
