**Plant Coordinator Vacancy - Doncaster**

**About Us**:
iRecruit are working on behalf of our Doncaster based client, specialising in gas network services across the UK. We are currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Plant Coordinator to join their team, working in a split role between the Doncaster office and on the road visiting sites across the UK.

**Salary / Package**: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience) +Company Van, Fuel Card, Phone and Laptop.

**Working Hours**: 08:00 - 17:00 (Monday - Friday)

**Other information**:

- Due to site locations, there is likely to be 2-3 nights a week, on which overnight stays would be required.
- Additional hours may be required to ensure all work is completed - this could include occasional work from home outside of normal work hours or occasional additional hours at the weekend to ensure all Plant and Equipment is on site ready for the site teams to carry out the work. Any excessive additional hours will be paid as overtime.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Liaise with site teams to ensure efficient management of plant and equipment.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess plant requirements, maintenance needs and adherence to safety protocols.
- Coordinate the allocation and redistribution of plant and equipment to meet project deadlines and requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive records and complete all necessary paperwork accurately and promptly.
- Work closely with and provide support to the Transport Manager and other parts of the business as and when required.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to order plant and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast future needs to optimise resource allocation and budget management.
- Facilitate cost savings through effective negotiation with existing and new suppliers.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in a similar role within the gas, construction, or utilities sector.
- Previously worked within a Plant Hire business or a utilities / construction business overseeing the coordination of plant and equipment.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and protocols related to plant and equipment.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with site teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in record-keeping and administrative tasks, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of plant and equipment types, capabilities, and maintenance requirements.
- Problem-solving skills to address issues promptly and efficiently, ensuring mínimal disruption to operations.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs and schedules.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in plant operations or management are advantageous.
