**Job Description** The Unreal Artist will be responsible for creating and optimising assets to work within Unreal Engine for Virtual Production (virtual scouting and virtual camera shoots) and throughout the VFX pipeline. Assisting the Creative Director and offering conceptualapproaches for the projects. The holder of the position will have an increased concern for the completion of the project, from the proposal, development, and execution to final delivery.

**Duties**:

- Deliver scenes within Unreal Engine that match the storyboard / brief
- Be able to balance the aesthetics and technical requirements of assets within the Unreal Engine. To create fantastic immersive worlds and to quickly realise ideas/concepts/generate cinematic content that matches the highest standards of VFX.
- Creating extensive landscapes in Unreal Engine (terrain sculpting, manual layout placement, procedural scattering, lighting)
- Optimizing Virtual Sets / Rebuilding Assets for real-time rendering
- Experience building with Blueprints
- Asset creation for real-time rendering
- Develop Characters and animation of movement to make them life like
- Look development within Unreal Engine
- Communicate progress, scheduling suggestions and feedback to show production and show leadership
- Regularly showing progress to leads and supervisors
- Support the brainstorm of ideas to enable the development of concepts
- Have sound production and editorial judgement.
- Work independently, as well as part of a team, to establish project deliverables
- Collaborate closely with internal clients and stakeholders to help facilitate the creation of multimedia content.

**Who Fits The Bill**:

- Previous experience in the creation of high-end assets for cinematic sequences using Unreal Engine.
- Good eye and attention to detail. You need to be comfortable with composition, colour and other artistic theories.
- Expertise in Maya and / or Houdini.
- Knowledge of modelling, sculpting, texturing, shading, lighting.
- Knowledge of layout, shot composition and photography.
- Understanding of animation within Unreal Engine - Sequencer / Animation Blueprints/Editor.
- Familiarity with a traditional CGI pipeline (Renderman, Arnold, Vray).
- Knowledge of Mudbox or Zbrush.
- Knowledge of Mel and/or Python.
- Knowledge of Mari / Substance3d (Painter, Designer, Alchemist).
- Previous experience in a VFX environment.
- Must have people skills.
