**The Role**

We are looking for a UI/UX Designer to join a collaborative and innovative team in this London-based fintech, to create visually appealing and easy-to-use digital products in a fast-paced environment.

Our future Senior UI/UX designer must have a solid understanding of graphic design and web technologies, and of wireframing tools such as Axure RP and Balsamiq. A good grasp of design programs and tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks and InVisionis also necessary. You must have the ability to quickly adapt to new technology and a willingness to keep your skills and industry knowledge current. You must frequently work with user interface designers, web developers, graphic designers and marketers onthe completion of projects and enhancements.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Prioritise software development projects, set timelines and assign tasks to team members
- Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes/storyboards and mock-ups
- Translate requirements into style guides, design systems, design patterns, Technical Specifications and attractive user interfaces
- Develop personas and usage scenarios
- Analyse user feedback and activity to enhance the user experience
- Design UI elements such as input controls, navigational components and informational components
- Content development
- Ensure design documentation is up-to-date
- Design and develop user interfaces for web and mobile platforms
- Recommend system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives.
- Update job knowledge by researching new technologies and software products; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

**Key Skills**
- Prior experience as a UI/UX Designer as well as a strong portfolio of related projects
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Figma, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop)
- Proficient in prototyping tools such as Sketch, InVision, etc
- Good knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus
- You pay strong attention to detail and have a keen eye for aesthetics
- You have excellent communication skills and can clearly articulate your ideas, designs, and suggestions
- A strong team player who can collaborate effectively with different stakeholders.
- PHP frameworks, specifically Laravel, Cake PHP, CodeIgniter, Pyro CMS are essential
- Shopify, Magento, jQuery, JavaScript, PHP, WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Prestashop, BigCommerce, Opencart, AngularJS, Twitter Bootstrap, Node.js are essential
- Comprehensive skills in theme development/customization, writing optimized and W3C valid codes, database management, working on APIs, XML/JSON parsing and plug-in development/ customization
- Expertise in at least one programming language, preferably JavaScript, Ruby or PHP
- Experience with mock-up and UI prototyping tools
- Understanding of security practices
