**PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**:

- Ensuring those who are ethnically minoritised and experiencing Violence against Women and Girls (VAWG), are provided with advocacy and support in a trauma informed way
- Coordinating a Camden One Stop Shop for VAWG services and ensure women are engaging with service provisions in partnership with statutory and Hopscotch’s specialist delivery partners
- Promoting multi-agency awareness and coordinated service delivery between VAWG, housing, legal, mental health and substance use agencies
- Working to build positive masculinity amongst racialised boys aged 11-16 with an expert
- Managing partnerships and referral pathways

Hopscotch’s VAWG service provides holistic, trauma-informed, human rights focused support for women fleeing/experiencing abuse, through dedicated one to one advice and advocacy support, training and workshops, peer support group and specialist culturally informed and appropriate service to women in Camden and all across London

**ABOUT YOU**

You will be:

- a values-driven person, experienced and organised, with an appetite for learning, reflective practice and continuous improvement
- able to work independently and always as part of the wider VAWG team and have excellent interpersonal skills, be a team player, contributing positively to the team, service and wider organisation
- an experienced VAWG Advocate with direct experience of working with women with multiple and complex needs

**AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY**
- **Advocacy and support service**
- Involve service users in the design, development and delivery of all VAWG services
- Contribute to the development of peer support network and ‘survivor’ forum
- Promote peer support work with women aged 18+
- Work with our Senior Youth Worker to engage youth services and participatory action programme for young people at risk of disproportionate exclusion.
- Recruit and coordinate a Youth Mentor, which provides mentoring boys aged 11-16, from racialised communities
- Support the VAWG team as required with case work
- **Multi-agency**
- The first point of contact for women entering the One Stop Shop, referred by other services or professionals or contacting Hopscotch directly. Creating and managing relevant partnerships with the One Stop Shop and promote the provision throughout Camden, building new partnerships and referral pathways
- Engage with a wide range of professionals (some of whom may have very different approaches to problem solving) through a multi-agency approach, and advocate to agencies on behalf of the Project and its service users
- Promote coordinated, joined-up service delivery for service users between VAWG
- Contribute to service-wide communications plan and ensure that information about the service is widely available locally to other agencies and is also readily accessible to potential service users
- Educate a wide range of agencies and stakeholders about the challenges faced by service users and women experiencing multiple disadvantages
- Proactively develop of links with local statutory and voluntary organisations to provide a range of engagement opportunities for service users in the community
- Attend and contribute to the Domestic Violence MARAC (Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference), when required
- Contribute to monitoring and evaluation of the project
- Providing training on needs of Black and Minoritised Ethnic women

**ORGANISATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To keep accurate records adhering to relevant policies regarding confidentiality and information sharing and equal opportunities
- To keep abreast of national strategies, best practice and research relating to employment and skills
- Contribute to the sharing of good practice and support continuous improvement throughout Hopscotch
- Participate in supervision and appraisal with their line manager. To work with the line manager to review professional development and undertake training as agreed
- To occasionally work during evenings and weekends, as required by the post
- Contribute through Hopscotch team meetings, training and outreach/events to the development of Hopscotch services
- Any other duties which are considered commensurate with the post
