We exist to end the harm done through gender-based violence. Our aim is to work to prevent violence and abuse, as well as providing services to meet the individual needs of survivors, particularly women and children. **About the Service**

The Early Intervention and Prevention Service supports children and young people who have experienced any form of VAWG. The team is currently comprised of 3 projects: 1) the Formal and Informal Education (one Educator and one Youth Advocate) delivering group and 1:1 prevention work in schools and communities, 2) The CoRageUs Project (one counsellor, one MDA, and one Community Engagement Worker), a specialised service for young people from black and minoritised backgrounds, and 3) the GoGa project, providing safe spaces for YWG to access physical activities. We are looking to recruit the Youth Advocate into the Formal and Informal Education project.

**About the Role**

This role provides advocacy work to young people who have been impacted by VAWG to provide holistic support in school and community settings. The role entails working in partnership with schools and communities to provide holistic, trauma-informed, client-centred, and strength-based advocacy support for young people as well as, when relevant, supporting in the delivery of our emotional wellbeing and relationship education programmes to vulnerable individuals/groups to provide targeted support and education. Moreover, the role entails supporting the Early Intervention and Prevention Service referral pathway.

**About You**

We are looking for a passionate person who is committed to Solace’s values to foster innovation and continuous improvement in working practice, who is flexible and open to new challenges, ideas and experiences as well as committed to diversity and anti-discriminatory practice. You have experience and commitment to deliver trauma-informed, client-centred, strengths-based advocacy support to CYP who have experienced VAWG. You have experience facilitating youth groups and are able (or happy to learn) to support the referral pathway for the Early Intervention and Prevention Service.
