You will be part of a highly responsive and “whole family” approach community service team, which primarily supports citizens with additional needs and their families, to access a wide range of meaningful social, leisure and recreational activities which increase self-confidence, improve health & wellbeing and develops good communication and social skills.
In addition to our core citizen group, you will play an enthusiastic part in developing and supporting opportunities to the wider local community, ensuring the service is well known and well regarding in the local community, where local citizens can come to for support in a range of key health & wellbeing areas.
You will provide outcome focused, person-centred and citizen led support, which empowers citizens to become active members of their community. You will achieve this by assisting with the planning and delivery of a fun and varied timetable, which will involve both internal and external facilitation at our bases across Birmingham and at times the West Midlands, notably Walsall and Coventry.
Proactively work with colleagues to develop and maintain a locally based approach, building key relationships and opportunities with/for local citizens, networks, professionals, and organisations.
At all times maintaining a safe, creative and stimulating environment for adults social, leisure and recreational activities, and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all adults by managing safeguarding principles and practices.
You will be expected to carry out any other tasks as deemed appropriate by the organisation.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £9.90 per hour

- Day shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- supporting adults with additional needs: 1 year (preferred)
