**Job summary**:
The Department of Surgery is extremely busy and ever expanding. We are looking to recruit a focussed and passionate Administrator/Coordinator to our friendly Team. You will assist the wider Team in delivering a high standard of patient care and meeting Trust targets, whilst ensuring that data is accurate and up to date.

You will need to be a friendly individual who enjoys working as part of a Team. You will need to possess good time management and prioritisation skills, in order to meet Trust targets and tight deadlines. You will also need to possess excellent IT and communication skills, as well as displaying attention to detail.

**Main duties, tasks & skills required**:
The main duties of the role are:
Managing, distributing and responding to Advice and Referral requests from GPs.

Managing referrals via the EHRA System.

Requesting of Outpatient Clinic Rooms.

Submitting IT requests for Clinics to be set up.

Booking Outpatient appointments.

Monitoring unoutcomed Outpatient appointments.

Communicating with members of staff at all levels.

Communicating with patients.

Uploading of documents to the Clinical Portal System.

Addition to waiting lists.

The post holder will be working as part of a Team and may be asked to assist with other duties as required.

- Good General Education (e.g. GCSE English and Maths A-C) GCSE Level 9-4
- Business Administration NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in an administrative environment

**Experience**:
**Essential**:

- Experience of dealing with the Public/Customer service experience
- Experience of working with a range of Microsoft Office packages (eg. Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Experience of using IT systems

**Desirable**:

- Experience of working in a busy environment
- Experience of working in Healthcare
