**Learning Support Assistant**

**5 days a week in Sheffield - possible job share**

**LSA/SEN Experience**

We are keen to hear from Learning Support Assistants across all stages who can easily access schools around Sheffield

Are you a nurturing, calm person with experience supporting vulnerable young people?

Do you have experience with autism and other special educational needs?

Your main responsibilities as a teaching assistant will be:

- Making sure that students are engaged in learning and have access to the learning at the hand
- Working with the class teacher and other support assistants effectively to help students progress
- Ensuring that all students have access to a high level of care and that their unique needs are catered for, through adapting the lessons and activities to them
- Attending extra training sessions/staff meetings when needed
- Managing challenging behaviours when required and deescalating situations effectively
