Are you an experienced HR professional ready to take on a crucial role at a central University of Oxford department? We are currently recruiting for a temporary **HR Administrator **with excellent attention to detail and previous HR administration experience. This assignment is due to commence ASAP for approximately 12 weeks in the first instance, on a Full-Time basis paying £17.38 p/hr + Holiday Pay.

**Duties include**:

- Manage recruitment, including job descriptions and interviews.
- Handle new starters and end-of-contract processes.
- Maintain personnel records confidentially.
- Coordinate academic staff reviews and support Head of Department.
- Improve HR administration systems and implement new procedures.
- Represent the department in HR meetings.
- Verify monthly payroll accuracy and process payments.
- Handle expense claims and ensure compliance with guidelines.
- Provide general administrative support as needed.

**Essential Selection Criteria**
- Good first degree, or equivalent experience.
- Experience of HR administration.
- Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.
- Effective interpersonal skills at all levels, with the demonstrable ability to communicate complex information and procedures, both orally and in writing, to a wide variety of audiences.
- Competency in a wide array of IT systems, including use of Microsoft Office.
- The ability to work on own initiative, without close supervision, yet to consult and collaborate as appropriate.
- The ability to work accurately, particularly when under pressure, and to meet tight deadlines.
- A willingness to learn new skills and undertake training as required.
- Ability to respect confidentiality and exercise tact and discretion when required.
- Interest and willingness to understand the needs of the Department and to contribute to improving processes.
