**Head of Finance - Social Video Content Publisher**

**Job Summary**:
We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance to join my client’s business, a leading Social Video Content Publishing Company. As the Head of Finance, you will play a crucial role in driving financial growth, stability, and operational efficiency within the organization in terms of processes around financial and revenue transactions such as efficient payment from advertising customers and the payment of suppliers. You will lead the finance department and collaborate closely with cross-functional leadership teams to optimise financial performance and support the company’s overall strategic goals of growth.

**Responsibilities**:
**Financial Planning and Analysis**:

- Develop and implement financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts to support the company’s short-term and long-term goals.
- Conduct financial analysis, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
- Monitor key financial metrics, prepare regular financial reports, and present findings to senior management.

**Budgeting and Cost Management**:

- Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish realistic financial targets and expense controls.
- Monitor and analyse budget variances, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.
- Implement and maintain effective cost management practices to optimise resource allocation and drive profitability.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance:

- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and legal requirements.
- Manage internal and external audits, liaising with auditors and ensuring timely completion of audit processes.
- Develop and maintain strong internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and maintain data integrity.

**Strategic Financial Planning**:

- Provide financial guidance and insights to support strategic decision-making and investment opportunities.
- Assess financial risks and opportunities, evaluate potential acquisitions or partnerships, and provide financial due diligence.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
- Team Leadership and Development:

- Lead and manage the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance, feedback, and training to enhance their professional growth.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with other departments, promoting a strong finance-business partnership.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; a Master’s degree or CPA qualification is highly preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior finance role, preferably as a Finance Manager or Controller, within the media or technology industry.
- Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and analysis techniques.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
- Demonstrated experience in managing audits, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance.
- Exceptional leadership and management abilities, with a track record of developing and motivating high-performing finance teams.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive, results-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
