Our client is an adult male with an acquired brain injury who requires support with his all daily living tasks. He is wheelchair dependent and requires assistance with personal care and all his domestic tasks and activities.

Presently he is an inpatient at a rehabilitation centre but is seeking to return to live in the community with the support of his team. To start with, we are seeking Support Workers who can provide 2 - 3 sessions per week to build up a rapport with our clientand to accompany him to his activities. Once he re-locates to Bury St Edmunds, IP28, he will require support from the hours of 08:00 - 22:00 plus sleep-in.

It is essential you hold a full clean driving licence because it will be a requirement to drive the client’s wheelchair accessible vehicle. Prior to his accident, he enjoyed many hobbies and sports which include snowboarding and sailing in addition to cooking,reading and travelling. The plan is for him to resume some of these activities with the assistance and support of his team.

As a Healthcare Assistant/Support Worker you will have an opportunity to build on your current experience by working directly with clinical interventions including but not limited to:

- NG/Gastrostomy feeding, BIPAP, Cough Assist, Tracheostomy. Suction etc.

**As a Healthcare Assistant with Advantage Healthcare you will**:

- Have paid experience as a support worker or healthcare assistant (HCA) in a community, residential or hospital setting
- Be committed to providing the highest standard of compassionate care
- A current enhanced DBS on the update service (preferred but not essential)
- Sound knowledge of person centred care
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
