About the opportunity: Do you want to be part of our amazing pitch team that ensures our pitch at Walton Hall Park and the rest of our estate is of the highest standard for our elite players?
We have a great opportunity for a Skilled Groundsperson to join our Grounds Team and ensure the maintenance of the playing surfaces and facilities of Walton Hall Park and other Everton sites are at an excellent standard, including general maintenance of pitches (cutting, irrigation, fertilising, marking out pitches, disposal of green waste and general maintenance of equipment, which includes football nets, machinery etc
- .
- Other key responsibilities as part of this role include:
- Undertaking routine preparation and maintenance work on a range of football-based facilities and surfaces as detailed on work schedules.-
- Undertaking preparatory, cultivation and repair work to maintain safe quality playing surfaces-
- Setting up all pitches and amenity surfaces and completing minor construction and landscaping work where needed-
- Driving vehicles and equipment as required for ground maintenance operations-
- Ensuring vehicles and equipment used by self and other Groundstaff are regularly maintained in accordance with routine operating requirements.-
- Promoting the Health and Safety of self and others; ensuring the work area is kept clean, tidy, and secure at all times, as well as responding to emergencies in an appropriate manner-
- Establishing and maintain effective working relationships with managers, colleagues, and end users.Who we are looking for: Essentially, we are looking for an experienced Groundsperson who has a Level 3 NVQ in Sportsturf Management or equivalent, and good knowledge of plant care and turf management.
If you have PA1, PA2 and PA6 Spraying Qualifications, have previous experience working on an elite sporting environment, have strong communication skills, and are highly motivated, then we would love to hear from you
The role is permanent and will be predominantly based at Walton Hall Park, but may be required at Finch Farm or Goodison Park and also matchdays; working 35 hours per week.
