**Medical / Scientific Advisor**:Gynaecological Oncology**:

- Develop and implement local research strategies to address data gaps and advance the scientific/clinical understanding of GSK medicines
- Be accountable for leading external scientific/clinical exchange with the scientific and medical community and to bring the medical voice of the customer back into the organisation
- Work with medical, cross-functional and global teams providing scientific/clinical expertise, advice and technical leadership on GSK products in the UK market by developing and implementing a local, integrated medical strategy and customer engagement plans

**In this role you will**:

- Lead, develop and implement local Medical Strategic, tactical and customer engagement plans for medicines within the Oncology therapy area including:

- Identifying advisory board/1:1 interaction needs, and leading their implementation and follow-up
- Ensuring alignment with commercial strategic planning
- Managing budget for assigned products
- Collaboration with a cross functional UK oncology team (Marketing, Regulatory, Market Access and the wider team) on launch readiness activities
- Partnership working to obtain access to medicines within the Oncology portfolio through the regulatory and HTA process
- Provide scientific product and disease knowledge and trusted medical leadership
- Lead on training of colleagues as appropriate
- Represent and raise the profile of the UK within the GSK global and regional organisation
- Evaluate and manage investigator sponsored studies to advance research aligned to areas of interest
- Support the Director of Gynaecological Oncology Medical Affairs in the review of all medical grant and donation requests and congress sponsorship requests to ensure alignment with therapy area strategies
- Review clinical articles relating to therapeutic area and attend events such as scientific meetings, conferences /symposia to maintain therapy area knowledge ensuring good quality feedback to relevant colleagues

**Qualifications & Skills**:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

- Qualification in MBBS, MD, PhD, PharmD, BSC or equivalent
- Medical affairs experience and the ability to leverage scientific knowledge and communicate complex data to a wide range of professionals
- Experience of managing relationships with internal and external partners including external experts and global stakeholders
- Proven ability to develop and implement local research strategies to address data gaps
- Demonstrated ability to work as a strategic partner with commercial functions
- A good understanding of the UK healthcare environment
- Customer focus & timely results orientation approach

**Preferred Qualifications & Skills**:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

- Strong foundation/expertise in the disease and therapeutic area (Gynaecological Oncology) from education or prior work
- If a Healthcare professional, 2-4 years clinical experience, preferably within the NHS
- Strong project management, communication & interpersonal skills
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Team player with a can-do mindset and the ability to train others
