The New Foscote Hospital is looking for a multi skilled tradesman - maintenance engineers for general handyman work. This is a long-term, permanent role to keep up with the ongoing maintenance and upgrading needs of the hospital facilities. Working as a member of facilities team, the role reports to the Head of Estates.

**The role is suitable for an organised, reliable, hands on, self motivated, self driven individual to join our hard working and friendly professional estate team.**

**About us**:
The New Foscote Hospital has undergone an overhaul of its facilities and are now looking to expand our activities. been successfully established in Banbury for over 40 years and has provided services and treatments to thousands of people from across the region during this time. We have over 70 consultants, all of whom are leaders in their specialist fields and choose to hold their private practices here, working alongside our friendly, highly qualified and experienced nursing and support teams.

The clinical outcomes of the hospital are of the highest standards. The latest CQC report rated our hospital standards as good across all parameters. Our organisation has a strong IT, operational, clinical governance and accountancy support. All colleagues are encouraged to feel empowered and to have an active voice on the management of their services.

**Core Responsibilities Includes**:

- To cover all aspects of property repairs, maintenance and refurbishment in and around
- Safely use and maintain building tools and equipment.
- Identifying, preparing internal and external elements of the building and grounds
- Assisting in the planning of work with the Head of Estates
- Assisting the Procurement Department in making contact with materials suppliers and if required making contact with and liaising with contractors and ordering materials and supplies.
- Carry out method statements and risk assessments in liaison with the Head of Estates
- Obeying workplace safety rules.
- Collaborating with other design and construction specialists.
- Keeping the workspace and tools clean.
- Monitoring upkeep and general maintenance, and responding to maintenance requests in an efficient manner
- Identifying maintenance, repairs jobs such as:

- Repair small guttering issues
- General Carpentry Skills (Restore wood floor, Plane Doors, patch board cupboards)
- Tighten bolts, screws, and nails in wood structures.
- Removing kitchen units to get access
- Small Roof Repairs
- Who we are looking for:

- Carpentry, general building, plastering and minor plumbing technical skills
- Experience in a similar position
- Knowledge of all applicable health and safety standards
- Knowledge of properties of paints and other coating products for internal and external use
- Desirable to have previous experience at a medical / clinical establishment
- Strong attention to detail
- Good planning, time management & organisational skills
- Ability to be flexible and respond to urgent matters with professionalism and a calm demeanour
- Adaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Graduate

**Salary**: £23,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
