Description

For this role you will be an adaptable problem solver who takes initiative to ensure guests have a great experience, who can manage in a fast-paced service. Energetic and passionate, the Front Office Associate helps our guests have a fun and relaxing experience.

This role will be at Moxy Hotel, Central Milton Keynes.

You will be fully aware and trained on all FO operational functions & compliant with FO health and safety policies. Able to operate the reception alone, monitoring multiple sections of the hotel and liaising with all departments, utilising the team to the best of the guest’s needs.

**MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Support Team Members in handling guest requests and enquires to ensure a positive outcome
- Ensure a consistent, high level of customer service and respond to guest complaints and disturbances in all formats of communication
- Supervise accurate and efficient reception operations including check in/out procedures
- Drive sales revenues and promote hotel services and facilities for up-selling opportunities
- Operate the day-to-day operation of the hotel; be actively involved with tasks of each department and enforce company policies
- Conduct Duty Manager shifts
- Ensure Team Members have updated knowledge of all room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, local area and other general Marriott product knowledge necessary to perform their duties
- Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics to inspire Team Members to meet and exceed standards
- Act in accordance with the front of house equipment and the property management systems (OPERA)
- Carry out shift handovers and brief team members as required
- Follow Courtyard by Marriott brand standards
- Assist other departments and maintain good working relationships with hotel Team Members and management
- Act with responsibility in emergencies
- Able to perform the Night Audit and ensure all reports are prepared for next day operations
- Manage inventory and out bookings if necessary

**Please note**:
Entry requirements

To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you must meet the following residency criteria: You must have lived in the UK, the British Overseas Territories, or Crown Dependencies (Channel Islands and Isle of Man) for at least three years prior to the start of the apprenticeship.

GCSE Maths and English Grade C/4 or above.

Training to be provided

Training with Milton Keynes College.

Ongoing training, support and development with the employer.

Business Administrator Level 3.
