**Role: Early Years Educator / Nursery Practitioner**:
Location: Lewisham

We are seeking a Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join a caring, welcoming and supportive team.

About the Role;
- To work as a member of the nursery team to provide all children with high quality care, to deliver a rich and stimulating play experience which meets each child’s individual needs.
- To provide a child-centred environment where children are cared for in a safe, caring and stimulating way.
- Be responsible for ensuring that the children’s environment is safe and hygienic, and to report any concerns to the Manager.
- Plan appropriately for children using the EYFS curriculum for guidance.
- To understand the signs of abuse and to report any concerns to the manager to safeguard children.
- To attend Safeguarding training
- Maintain accurate and effective children’s records, including planning, observations, record keeping and report writing.
- To undertake duties in connection with transition to the next stage of education.
- Presentation of children’s work and the compilation of displays.
- To work closely with the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator to ensure that the individual needs of children are met within a fully inclusive environment.
- To work in partnership with parents/carers.
- Be a key person carrying out all related responsibilities in building relationships with a group of children and their families.
- To ensure that the outside area is planned for, set up appropriately. To encourage children to explore the outside environment by providing safe, exciting experiences.
- To participate at meal times to make this an enjoyable and sociable experience for all children. To ensure that the nutritional needs of children are met.
- To operate the highest standard of hygiene and cleanliness in all areas throughout the nursery, in particular the sleeping areas, nappy change area and toilets and food surface areas.
- To be conversant with child protection procedures and ensure that concerns are acted upon and are reported to the Manager.
- To communicate effectively with team members, parents/carers, children and other professionals and outside agencies.
- Develop and maintain highly professional working relationships with colleagues and other professionals to continuously improve quality of childcare and education for all children.
- To attend review meetings, case conferences, team meetings, supervision meetings, training sessions and courses as required.
- To ensure that all children, families, visitors and colleagues are treated with equal respect and that each person’s race, culture, linguistic background is promoted.
- To care for unwell children appropriately, providing first aid where necessary, including the administering of medication.
- To support and adhere to centre policies and procedures.
- To be fully aware of all emergency and security procedures, including fire safety, security, dropping off and collection of children.

About you;
- A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Nursery Nurse or Childcare
- Experience of working with children from 0 - 5 years.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
