An exciting opportunity has opened in our CAMHS West Community Team for a CBT Therapist. You are invited to join our small and dedicated team of experienced therapists who work together to provide therapeutic support to young people in the West Somerset Area. There is a wider network of CBT Therapists in Somerset Foundation Trust, offering peer support and input into the wider development of CBT. We also have links with Exeter University and offer CBT Trainee posts on a regular basis.

Alongside your CBT therapy sessions, you would be a valued member of our diverse Multi-Disciplinary Team, providing assessment and intervention to children and young people with Mental Health Disorders allowing you to work flexibly and creatively to ensure positive outcomes for the children young people and families in our service. The multi-disciplinary team is made up of CBT therapists, family therapists, psychologists, mental health practitioners, Psychiatrists and Support Workers. We ensure regular opportunity to support clinical discussion and shared hold of risk and risk management.

We are also looking for someone who is able to contribute to the team dynamic and learning by contributing to team meetings, peer supervision and clinical supervision. We also provide learning afternoons across both sides of the county to our wider CAMHS team which are lead and attended by clinicians from all backgrounds and experience. We are looking for a practitioner who can continue to build on developing a strong systemic approach to assessments and reflecting team practice.
