St Barnabas Hospice is seeking to appoint a **Receptionist** to meet and greet all visitors to our Wellbeing Hub, based in Louth. The post holder’s core duties will be to welcome all visitors to St Barnabas and to be the first point of contact, manage all general enquiries effectively face to face and by telephone, to set up rooms for meetings and to be responsible for stationery ordering and maintaining required stock levels.

**Job Purpose**

The post holder will be the first point of contact for patients, staff and visitors at the Wellbeing Hub. The purpose of this role is **essential for keeping Louth wellbeing hub operating smoothly and efficiently by**:

- Maintaining the reception area in a way which presents a welcoming image.
- Induction of contractors to site, in conjunction with the Maintenance Team.
- Dealing with deliveries and collections of post and other items, ensuring that deliveries are communicated to the appropriate department or individual.
- Receiving donations issuing receipts and processing the funds to the appropriate department in line with Trust requirements_**.**_
- Maintaining confidentiality in all areas as appropriate to the situation.
- Managing the phone system and taking messages in a sympathetic and empathic manner in line with Trustrequirements and passing on calls as appropriate.
- Taking a part in fire and first aid training for the site and undertaking firemarshal duties in the event of an evacuation of the site.
- Ensuring that room bookings are made and facilitated.
- Helping to ensure the volunteer rota is planned and actioned with the assistanceof Volunteer services for the site.
- _**C**_ompiling and ordering stationary necessary for the smooth running of Novak House.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**

**Professional and Clinical**
- You will be required to receive visitors in a welcoming, pleasant and efficient way ensuring that they are booked into Louth wellbeing hub.
- Contractors will only be accepted on site once they have completed the induction forms managed by the receptionist.
- Managing the phone system and taking messages in an empathic and confidential manner in line with Trustrequirements and assigning calls as appropriate. All telephone calls are to be treated confidentially
- Incoming and outgoing post will be prepared and disseminated internally or taken to the post office for delivery.
- Financial Donations are to be received and receipts issued.
- Deliveries and collections to site will be overseen and documented using hard and electronic systems.
- Room bookings and services on site will be monitored and actionedusing the on-line booking system.
- In conjunction with the health and Safety manager ensuring the Hub is safe to receive staff and members of the general public; therefore, awareness of Health and Safety requirements will be part of the role including environmental checks.
