Full time, permanent role

The post holder will support the delivery of the MHST model within identified schools and other educational provisions considering outcomes and caseload flow so as to ensure as a service we are delivering a robust and continually improving approach, in order to promote the development, welfare and secure the wellbeing of children and young people and their families. The post holder will support schools and teachers in developing whole school approaches to mental health by providing specialist consultation and teaching to staff.

The post holder will also provide specialist CBT supervision to the other team members ensuring that the MHST model is adhered to.

The post holder will deliver services that are responsive to local and national directives and need, promoting a learning culture that leads to improved service delivery and robust clinical governance.

To work with other service leads and professional leads, to identify, model and implement evidenced based, safe and outstanding practice

To ensure efficient service delivery that yields high quality service user experiences and outcomes.

To take an active role in strategic planning and the development of the services and policies across the MHSTs including the contribution of children / young people and their parents / carers

To develop and maintain excellent working relationships and communication links with internal and external stakeholders, including commissioners and patients / carers.

To ensure interfaces with other services are effective and seamless and that transitions are effectively managed.

To communicate accurate and sensitive information to children and young people and their families/carers, taking into consideration relevant factors and protected characteristics.

To effectively communicate at all levels of the organisation, to a variety of health professionals, users and carers, to provide the best outcomes for patients.

To ensure awareness of sources of support and guidance and provide information in an acceptable format to all.

Rise Children and Young People Emotional Well-being and Mental Health services is part of Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust and are at the forefront of developing Mental Health care for CYP. The RISE model is built on an outcome’s framework where the CYP outcome and experience is the true measure of success. Rise is proud to be part of NHSE Trailblazer programme to improve access and outcomes for CYP and leads on priority areas for CYP MH transformation.

The foundation of the Rise NHS led family of services is built upon the RISE vision of“no door is the wrong door”. RISE is a family of NHS-led services providing emotional wellbeing and mental health services for CYP in Coventry and Warwickshire. RISE aims to build resilience and empower our CYP (as well as the adults in their lives).

To work with the professional leads, and other service managers to develop an effective and motivated workforce within the area of responsibility which delivers services that are fit for purpose and are equitable and consistent across Coventry and Warwickshire where contracts allow.

To work with the professional leads, lead the development of all the team roles and structure the teams within the area of responsibility to promote joined integrated working for children, young people and their families.

To provide clinical support to teams and schools within the MHST

To be adaptable and able to cope with changes to patient flow at peak times and advice and treat in a timely and responsive manner.

Work closely with other members of the team ensuring appropriate step-up and step-down arrangements are in place to maintain a stepped care approach.
