Job description

Job responsibilities

Toformulate and implement plans for CBT and/or third wave therapy and/ormanagement of a clients complex mental health needs.

Tobe responsible for implementing CBT and/or third wave with individuals, carers,families, and groups by adjusting and refining model based

psychologicalformulations and interventions.

Tocontribute to new methods of service delivery as appropriate, in order toencourage optimal opportunities for access to services for a vulnerable clientgroup.

Toexercise professional responsibility for the assessment and treatment ofcomplex clients from psychological therapy.

Tocontribute directly and indirectly to a psychologically based framework ofunderstanding and care to the benefit of all clients of the service area forwhich the post-holder is responsible, across all appropriate settings andagencies.

Toundertake risk assessment and risk management for individual clients and toprovide advice to other professions on psychological aspects of risk assessmentand risk management.

Current registration with Professional Body appropriate to qualifications

Desirable

In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of: Relevant Qualifications Registration with the relevant Registration Body

Knowledge of CBT Knowledge of psychological theory and practice relevant to the perinatal period Experience of undertaking assessment, formulation, risk assessment and positive risk management
