The Awards Specialist, reporting to the Head of Product Delivery, has overall responsibility for project managing and delivering the programmes for RICS Awards. RICS Awards recognise industry achievements and demonstrate the upholding of highest standards of professionalism and ethics by individuals and teams across the built and natural environments.
Working with Awards Working Groups (formed of internal and external stakeholders), markets and product delivery colleagues you will ensure a high quality, efficient and consistent standard of project management across all markets.
**Key Achievements & Responsibilities**
Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective project management within a matrix environment across global teams for the awards campaigns, from call for entries through to announcement of winners.
- Work with the Marketing team to maximise use of channels for promotion and fulfil the ambition of greater member engagement to the awards.
- Drive the call for entry campaign ensuring targets for entries are met and stakeholder relations are maximised.
- Manage Awards working groups, providing regular updates to working parties on status of entries, sponsorship targets, key dates and take all reasonable actions to mitigate risk.
- Undertake annual reviews to ensure we are realising efficiencies and maintaining the integrity of the awards
- Build effective and collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Day to day management of the awards process, including the Awards entry system and overseeing the jury recruitment and management, plus the judging process.
- Organising and attending jury meetings as required, preparing papers in advance and capturing actions for circulation.
- Quality Assurance - ensuring consistent delivery throughout each campaign.
- Build and maintain a detailed timeline and define roles to ensure consistency and clarity for the working group.
- Work with the Event Managers to ensure ceremonies or announcements are delivered on time and on budget.
- Supplier management - sourcing and negotiating contracts with global suppliers.
- Cost management - ensure costs are controlled to meet agreed budgets.
- Sponsorship/partnership management - working with the sponsorship agency/Strategic Partnerships to drive partnerships and maintain relationships with key stakeholders for future collaboration.

Expected Outcomes
- Awards programmes delivered in line with delivery framework and service level agreements
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver impactful awards campaigns and the number and quality of entries required
- Member engagement with the Awards programme

**Experience Required**
Experience / Skills Required
- Proven project management skills
- Experience of working collaboratively with cross functional, geographically dispersed teams and building trusted relationships
- Culturally aware with the ability to operate effectively in a global role and work with teams from diverse cultural backgrounds and expertise
- Highly organised and methodical approach with experience of working in a fast-paced constantly changing environment
- Work collaboratively with external stakeholders and managing expectations and requirements
- Customer focused, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, confident with all stakeholders
- Negotiation skills
- Ability to plan and prioritise workload in order to keep pace with multiple campaigns all at various stages
