Boarding House Cleaners

Job Purpose:
To maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the Boarding House. To perform a variety of manual tasks associated with the upkeep and cleaning of the House.

Job Summary and Key Tasks:
Cleaning and clearing of common areas including Common Room, Lobby, Games Room, kitchens, corridors and stairs. Disinfecting, vacuuming carpeted areas and mopping hard floors.

Thoroughly disinfect bathroom areas. Clean sinks, toilets, showers and baths.

Remove rubbish from common areas.

Attend all relevant training courses as requested by the House MAC.

Treat all customers helpfully and courteously.

To undertake training as necessary such as Child Protection and COSHH.

Experience of working successfully with a diverse range of people

Ability to work independently

Flexibility and adaptability

**Knowledge and Experience**:
Previous knowledge of using various cleaning machines desirable but not essential as training will be given.

**Hours of work**

Post 1: Monday to Friday, 08:45 to 13:15, every third Saturday 08:30 to 10:30 - £11,458 p.a.

Post 2: Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 13:00 plus 2 hrs one in four Saturdays - £10,148 p.a.

Start and finish time can be flexible

This is a term time only position plus the start and end of each term (6 wks)

The rate of pay is £10.42 per hour

A six month probationary period is applicable.

Occupational health clearance.

An entitlement to join the Kent County Council Local Government Pension Scheme is applicable.
