**Job Title**:Cricket Coach

**Salary**:£20.62 per hour

**Hours**:September to March Year 3 and 4 after school club 4.00pm - 5.15pm
on a Tuesday April to June Wednesday’s 1.00pm - 4.15pm, Friday’s
2.45pm - 4.00pm and Saturday matches from 12.30pm. Approx 4-6
hours every Saturday

**Responsible to**:Director of Sport

**Main purpose of job**:
1. To plan and/or deliver a coordinated program of high quality, professional cricket coaching activity, that is progressive and reflective of the needs of Wells Cathedral School. Demonstrating all due care to safer practice for children and for all relevant Health and Safety legislation

**Main Duties**:
1. To deliver all round excellent cricket specific skill sessions that are enjoyable and centred on the needs of the participants
2. To be able to adapt their coaching to suit a range of ability groups via appropriately planned sessions in line with broader cricket philosophy set out by the Head of Cricket/Director of Sport
3. When required, to accompany school teams to and provide coaching at fixtures and/or tournaments
4. To attend meetings with school staff members, as and when required
5. To be a positive role model, creating a positive and fun environment in which to motivate and encourage young people to participate in cricket activity
6. To manage and maintain school equipment, and report any loss or damage to the Head of

Cricket/Director of Sport
7. To maintain a current knowledge of school policies and practices, and to agree to abide by a code of conduct and carry out duties in accordance with school policies, including equal opportunities, child protection, Health and Safety, etc

- Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school
- Appreciate and support the role of other professionals
- Attend and participate in relevant meetings as required
- Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as required
- Assist with pupil needs as appropriate during the school day

**Job Type**: Part-time
