Reed Accountancy is looking for a Payroll and Pensions Manager to join my clients team on a 12-month FTC.

**The purpose of the role is to**:

- To support the continuous development, and delivery of a comprehensive in-house payroll and pensions service for their staff, Subsidiary Companies and Temps.
- To ensure efficient, accurate, responsive service including timely payments, legal compliance, and excellent customer service.
- To manage the Payroll and Pensions team to provide timely and high-quality customer focussed service to our staff

**Role:**Payroll and Pensions Manager

**Reporting to**:Head of HR Operations and Systems

**Location**:Chelmsford (2/3 days in office)

**Hours**:37hrs

8:30am - 5pm (Mon-Thurs)

8:30am - 4pm (Fri)

**Contract**:Maternity Cover

**Pay**:£42,155 - £51, 805

**Start**:January

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage all aspects of the payroll ensuring accurate payments are made for all payrolls monthly.
- Ensure correct processing and payment of additional benefits schemes in place including childcare vouchers, cycle to work schemes as well as relevant statutory deductions including attachment of earning.
- Produce, check, and act on pre and post payroll reports as required and work with Financial Services on the completion and submission of annual statutory returns
- Line manages 5 staff members in the payroll and pensions team advising, supporting, and coaching team members
- Lead on the maintenance of the Payroll System aligning processes and procedures to ensure the effective and efficient running of the payroll and pension services
