**Job description**

**Job title: Finance worker**

**Responsible to: Project Manager**

Job purpose: The Finance Worker will take charge of the financial health of our charity by administering accounting operations in order to meet legal requirements. They will deal with payroll, audits, invoices and budget preparations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Keep accurate records for all daily transactions
- Undertake and administer payroll duties
- Prepare balance sheets
- Process invoices
- Record accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Update internal systems with financial data
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
- Reconcile bank statements
- Participate in financial audits
- Track bank deposits and payments
- Assist with budget preparation
- Review and implement financial policies

**Requirements and skills**
- Proven work experience as a Finance Worker or similar role
- Solid knowledge of payroll, financial and accounting procedures
- Experience using payroll and financial software
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Knowledge of financial regulations
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Sharp time management skills
- Strong ethics, honesty and integrity with an ability to manage confidential data

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 8 per week

**Salary**: £12.82 per hour
