The Sustainability Department is responsible for ensuring compliance with legal limits for air quality, the development of polices and schemes that support Bradford Council’s Climate Emergency and Sustainability agenda, and the development of multi-million pound investment and income generation, to ensure the delivery and monitoring of a large-scale programme that provides health benefits for Bradford residents, alongside continued operation of the Clean Air Zone and associated grant schemes.

We require a Technical Officer to take a key role in our department to contribute to the provision of high-quality intelligence support to key Bradford Clean Air Plan (B-CAP) processes and Local Air Quality Management (LAQM). This will enable the effective delivery of the priority outcomes of the Council and the Councils partnerships in relation to air quality.

This is an excellent opportunity for the right person to join us as a Technical Officer in our Sustainability Department.
- An understanding of the UK’s Local Air Quality Management Regime and the Clean Air Zone Framework.
