Invesis is recruiting a Chief Operations Officer responsible for all aspects of Project Delivery across the business, including the construction, operations and handback phases.

**Your mission**

As a member of the Management Board the key purpose of the position is to provide direction and leadership to all aspects of project delivery, establishing Invesis as an industry-leading sustainable and successful investor developer of Infrastructure assets. Managing the operational performance of the company and it’s projects to deliver the KPI’s set out in the Annual Business Plans and long term Strategic Plans. Having the health, safety and wellbeing of the staff and all stakeholders as a priority focus at all times.

This role oversees the project delivery workstream from project award through to project handback at the end of the concession period. Invesis has recently been rebranded to highlight its independence and autonomy and it’s wider growth ambitions following a change in its ownership structure. A key area of focus for this role is to optimise the performance of the project portfolio across the entire business, ensuring high quality commercial management of our delivery across our current, and looking forward increasingly diverse, portfolio identifying and crystallising both incremental and material project and portfolio value enhancements.

The increased independence and autonomy requires the establishment of strong corporate and project governance policies and procedures along with the development of clear and compelling environmental and social strategies. The oversight and enhancement of Invesis’s ESG agenda is an important part of the role.

Key activities of the Chief Operations Officer are the following:

- Developing robust and deliverable business plans reflecting the sustainable growth aspirations of the business to support the long term strategy for the company.
- Providing leadership and direction in the optimisation of the performance of the portfolio across the entire business, ensuring appropriate project delivery input and feedback into our bid management process and ensuring high quality commercial management of our delivery workstream.
- Providing leadership and direction to the ESG, Information Management/IT and Insurance Corporate Functions.
- Personal development of team members through the Perform & Develop cycle to develop a ‘personal growth’ mentality and to support succession planning.
- Shareholder relationship management as a collective Management Board responsibility.
- Representing Invesis and establishing key partner and client relationships to develop long term successful partnerships and to enhance the Invesis brand.
- Governance - Ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures, including compliance with the Shareholders Agreement.
- Driving continuous improvement throughout all aspects of the Business.
- Working as a member of the Management Board to provide inspiration, ambition and direction to the business to always strive to exceed expectations.

**Who are we looking for?**
- You have extensive experience in project and / or operational management including financial enhancement and refinancing’s at a senior level.
- You have a deep understanding of the infrastructure investment market and PPP / P3 / DBFMO procurement models in particular.
- You possess business acumen and have an in-depth understanding of how project and operational performance can impact the business model.
- You have an entrepreneurial personality, make timely decisions and demonstrate managerial courage.
- You are authentic and consistent, inspire trust and confidence in the role.
- You are an effective communicator at all levels of hierarchy, including being a good listener.
- You display emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills which you tailor to individual circumstances.
- You are a strategic thinker coupled with pragmatism and decisiveness, with an ability to be hands-on when appropriate or required.
- You employ rigorous cost control to ensure overheads are managed in an effective way coupled with the optimisation of recoveries.
- You feel comfortable working with multiple internal and external customers and stakeholders with varied and often conflicted interests, have excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills.
