Shop Assistant Job Description

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Maintain a clean and organized shop environment
- Assist customers in finding products and answering their inquiries
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the cash register
- Stock shelves and ensure products are properly displayed
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate with the manager when stock is low
- Assist with receiving and unpacking merchandise shipments
- Follow all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, and customer service

Qualifications:

- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic understanding of retail math, including calculating discounts, sales tax, and change
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
