**Job summary**:
The Ministry of Defence employs over 50,000 Civil Servants. Within that, the Army Top Level Budget (TLB) employs around 9,000 MOD Civil Servants located at over 300 locations. Ours is a diverse workforce, with roles ranging from trainers, human resources, teachers, firefighters and psychologists to storekeepers, financiers, project and programme managers, and policy secretariat staff. There are many different functions and professions delivering key outputs for the Army. As such using data to aid understanding of our workforce is vital.

The Army’s Information Directorate provides the Chief Information Officer function for the Army, leads the Army’s digitalisation, delivers information exploitation services and orchestrates the delivery of digital programmes. The directorate also provides leadership and coherence across the Cyber and Electro-Magnetic Activities (CEMA), Intelligence and Security functions in the Army. The Director’s vision is: Information is valued, exploited and protected as a critical Army asset to maximise advantage in a trusted Single Information Environment.

The Army Knowledge and Information Management team are based in a busy and diverse Headquarters offering support and guidance to all the Army Information Hubs (iHubs). The post holder will be an integral team member advising iHub staff on Information Management Policy and the use of the organisation’s information systems. Advising on best practice with regards to electronic ways of working in accordance with Defence and Army Policy.

Flexible employment - This post is 37 hours a week. D Info is located at Army Headquarters in Andover, Hampshire however we operate as Flexibly as possible. This includes home working although the successful applicant would be expected to be present in the HQ office a minimum of 60% a week with some flexibility which can be discussed with the Line Manager.

**Job description**:
This role provides an excellent opportunity for wider insight into both the Civil Service and Armed Forces to allow personal development, both within and outside of the team.

**Person specification**:
**Key responsibilities of this post are**:

- Provide advice and guidance on all aspects of Information and Record Management to the Army Information Professional community
- Provide support to all iHubs across the Army managing Team Site activities in line with Army policy
- Support all Army iHubs in management of Information Administration
- Deliver Knowledge and Information Management training to all iHub staff across the wider Army. Implementing a train the trainer approach for sustainability
- Assure all Army SharePoint sites to ensure compliance with Army Policy
- Responsible for the provision of all SharePoint sites and Groups and Teams for the wider Army
- Line management for 1 E1 post

Essential: Experience working with Microsoft office suite.

Desirable: Experience in Microsoft teams and Microsoft SharePoint.
