**Job summary**:
Joint Helicopter Command (JHC) HQ delivers aviation advice to formulate Military Strategy Responsible for force preparation and generation to meet permanent and adaptable tasks across the globe in accordance with (IAW) Defence policy.

We are recruiting for an Information Support Assistant (ISA) to support Information Administration through the implementation and maintenance of Information Management within the business area. The ISA will support policies and processes, which brings users greater benefit as they exploit the new technologies available on MoDNET and future capabilities.

The position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

**Job description**:
The ISA Role is accountable for the delivery of accurate and timely information management solutions to the HQ that is in line with legislation and MOD policy, whilst ensuring value for money is achieved. As an ISA you will work within a small team of three other civil servants based at JHC HQ who the post holder will regularly interact with. The team will provide full support and guidance to the ISA to assist them developing their IM skills.

Key responsibilities include.

Main Job Roles:

- To coordinate the HQs use of MoDNeT and Sharepoint in respect of collaborative working and Electronic Records Management (ERM) facilities.
- Assist with the implementation of a Branch Fileplan IAW current regulations and under ISO instruction.
- Maintain the organisations Sharepoint sites.
- Manage local document templates under the direction of the ISO.
- Control incoming and outgoing paper information.
- Lead the Group Mailbox as per the ISO guidance.
- Support the ISO to provide the necessary technical expertise to fully exploit the IM tools, as they become available.
