**The Role**:
We are looking for a part time Team Lead to manage the goods in and out functions including incoming stock, storage and distributing instore; deliveries and stock holding areas. Safe systems of work, supporting Health & Safety practices on site with the Compliance Director.

**Specific Accountabilities**:

**Responsible for**:

- The smooth running of the department with diligence, discipline and trust

- Ensuring all relevant risk assessments have been completed and control measured are followed
- Ensuring all measures are put in place and followed to minimise theft and damage
- Monitoring on-going operations and resolving issues promptly
- Ensuring all supplier reps, delivery drivers, customers and colleagues are dealt with in a knowledgeable, respectful and attentive manner
- Identifying and reporting any issues regarding software, stock, security or the team quickly and efficiently
- Identifying and reporting/tending to maintenance issues in your department including Company vehicles
- Identify, reporting and tending to H&S issues
- Organising and managing stock relevant to your department
- Ensuring all the Company fixtures and fittings are looked after
- Ensuring all Company Property including, but not limited to, machinery, equipment, retail stock and non-retail items for colleague use is looked after and used correctly
- Empowering and developing yourself and your team to their full potential with encouragement and training
- Keeping directors, managers and colleagues informed of all relevant issues
- Attending relevant management and site meetings
- Supporting other areas of the business when required** Key Tasks**:
Site management:

- Liaise with buyers & departmental manager to ensure incoming deliveries and stock is processed efficiently
- Site logistics - ensuring there is appropriate and sufficient storage for incoming goods; managing containers for safety and security of items
- Responsible for site/yard management and maintenance in relevant areas; including but not exclusively car park, goods in bay and storage areas including landscapes
- Liaise with goods out to ensure outgoing customer deliveries are completed efficiently
- Support goods out department with organising deliveries in the absence of a supervisor
- Identifying and tending to all issues relating to supplier deliveries, customer deliveries, company vehicles or the team quickly and efficiently
- Keep up to date with all current road safety legislation
- Monitor and ensure all stock is maintained at optimum quality with no undue damage
- Organising and managing company waste storage and collections and recycling materials.
- Responsible for site health & safety; implementing and monitoring relevant risk assessments and safe systems of work
- Liaising with buyers and furniture manager regarding bulk or seasonal storage Managing the team including:

- Maintaining adequate staff cover across all sections and approving holiday accordingly
- Monitoring and appraising the performance of your team members
- Ensuring safe and efficient working practices are followed at all times
- Managing seasonal change requirements and allocating relevant tasks to your team
- Ensuring daily record of H&S standards are completed

Recruiting appropriate staff for your present and future requirements

**Requirements**:

- Excellent management skills
- Ability to complete a wide ranging set of tasks within a set time period; work under pressure
- Forklift licence beneficial but full training will be provided
- Ability to use T20 ( an electrical pump truck ) and other equipment safely
- Knowledge of H&S and road safety legislation
