**The Role**

To manage contracts to deliver value for money. Develop strong partnerships with, internal customers and providers, providing advice and support on issues relevant to contracts or service level agreements. Ensure that providers are delivering services in line with the agreed contract. Investigate and resolve allegations, complaints or difficulties arising with contracts. Be a first point of contact for suppliers and seek to resolve problems as promptly as possible. Performance manage providers against the performance indicators within the contracts and recommend appropriate contractual action for poor performance. Use the learning from existing contracts and suppliers to influence the early development of service specifications and Sourcing Plans. To be responsible for reporting on the performance of contracts, including developing appropriate tracking systems for the department, checking for inaccuracies and driving providers to verify and return information within stated timetables. Contract compliance must also take account of statutory responsibilities regarding protection and quality

**Annual Salary** £32,020 Rising to £33,820 **after completion of one years’ service**

**Essential Requirements**
- Experience of monitoring outcome-based specifications.
- Ability to understand and define suitable terms and conditions
- Experience of ensuring that the interests of minority and under-represented groups are taken into account.
- Ability to work with finance and service managers to ensure consistent knowledge of services being delivered and cost incurred.
- Experience of managing a performance management regime where providers compete on a variety of KPIs / and/or have a statutory duty of care
- An understanding of the needs of different client groups and a sound knowledge of the different models of contracting and frameworks.
- A good knowledge of statutory quality requirements
- An understanding of Public Procurement Regulations including European Procurement Legislation.
