Indirect Buyer

A fantastic opportunity for a career driven Indirect Buyer to join a rapidly growing engineering and manufacturing business based in Burnley. My client currently operates at a turnover in excess of £50m and there has never been a better time to join the team.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

- Place PO’s and manage and maintain required stock levels
- Develop sourcing strategies for indirect supplies and services
- Monitor MRO spending and identify cost-saving opportunities to help reduce expenses
- Engage with indirect suppliers and internal functions to challenge and define requirements for indirect supplies and services
- Identify reliable suppliers and maintain a qualified vendor list for MRO goods and services
- Maintain accurate data on internal business systems
- Experience in a procurement position within a manufacturing business with a specialised focus on indirect spend
- Previous experience with MRP/ERP systems and proficient in MS Office programmes
- Strong communication skills and a desire to develop within the business
