Indirect Buyer

This thriving manufacturing business who produce precision engineered components, are looking to attract a Buyer into the purchasing team who will focus on indirect spend.

The purpose of this role is to enable the business to procure goods and services in a cost-effective way, whilst managing commercial terms the financial risks to the business.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Indirect Buyer will:
- Develop procurement policies for areas such as factory consumables, professional services, health and safety, PPE and CAPEX.
- Develop spend analytics to allow good financial decision making.
- Manage key suppliers and manage consignment stocks for factory use.
- Develop strong relationships with suppliers.
- Lead sourcing activities and manage direct negotiations.
- Develop category strategies.

The successful Indirect Buyer will:
- Have procurement experience gained with indirect spends.
- Be a confident negotiator.
- Have the ability to develop communication channels with internal stakeholders.
- Be able to build strong supplier relationships and communication methods.
- Ideally hold a CIPS qualification.
