Business Operations Manager - Worcester
I have an exciting opportunity with a training provider that has seen a considerable growth of their operations, delivering Apprenticeships, Skills Bootcamps and Adult Education Budget. They are now looking for an experienced Business Operations Manager inthe FE/Training sector, to join their growing organisation and make a positive impact on business efficiencies and staffing performance to improve the quality of their service model for learners and employers across the West Midlands.
In the past year there has been a considerable growth in operations, delivering Apprenticeships, Skills Bootcamps and Adult Education Budget. They believe that all people can and should ‘do well by doing good’ and are committed to helping close the tech anddigital productivity gap in the West Midlands. Earlier this year they received an Ofsted Outstanding grade for their quality of education, Apprenticeships and Adult Education. They are proud of their focus on delivering genuine work-based learning, underpinnedby academic rigour.
The holder of this business-critical role will join the senior management team, reporting directly to directors and governors. As the client grows, this role’s accountability will shape up according to the growth trajectory and the business needs.
The package available for the position of Business Operations Manager:
? Basic salary of £40000 to £50000 depending upon experience.
? Working from home/hybrid and flexible working. (Attendance to the HQ in Worcester will be required once per week or more if required).
? 24 days holiday per year + bank holidays (with the option to buy more).

The role and responsibilities of the Business Operations Manager:
? Being part of the leadership team, aligning with company values, supporting the overall business aims and objectives, aligning with the directors and governors and working with other managers to achieve results.
? Manage and lead the Support Team, who provide the backbone of support to the business in its various operations: managing the learner journey, compliance, data, contracts, systems, human resources, finance and facilities.
? Manage key contractor relationships and compliance - currently contracts are held with ESFA, WMCA and Worcestershire County Council.
? Ensure all operations run smoothly and align with quality, health and safety, data regulations and compliance standards, achieving better business practices.
? Oversee and monitor the financial data, recommending solutions to improve profitability.
? Recommend strategies and policies for company growth and quality improvement.
? Inspire, develop and maintain an effective and efficient team, conducting performance reviews and quarterly conversations.
? Ensure effective communication with all other areas of the business.
? Contribute actively to the quality improvement plan
? Contribute actively to the self-assessment report
? Participate as needed in monitoring visits, audits and Ofsted inspections.
Skills, knowledge and experience required for the Business Operations Manager:
? Degree or equivalent experience in Business Management.
? Track record of growing businesses (ideally in the training or further education sector)
? Experience in government funded delivery
? Experience managing a multi-disciplinary team working within a busy environment
? Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with people across an organisation (externally and internally).
? Ability to problem solve and create solutions.
? Excellent organisation, prioritisation and attention to detail skills.
? The ability to adapt to continuously changing legislation, multi-task and use a variety of systems as required.
? The ability to deliver against core company values.
