Reporting directly to the Director - Supply Chain, this role leads a large team of procurement/ supply chain professionals in the sourcing and delivery of Indirect goods and services, across main ‘pillars:’ Professional Services, Manufacturing Support and IT.

The Head of Supply Chain - Indirect, will ensure the effective development of commodity/ category strategies, the planning and execution of all relevant sourcing and commercial activity, will develop close internal stakeholder relationships, lead external relationships at a 'top to top' level, and be responsible for quality, cost and delivery performance. Ensuring compliance to company policies and procedures, and to our Global Supplier Code of Conduct, the role will also proactively support capability development and engagement within the team and wider Supply Chain organisation.

**What you will be doing**:
With this exciting opportunity your main responsibilities will include:

- Leadership - Promote engagement that empowers people & teams to operate “at their best” and achieve high performance. Lead and develop the team, ensuring team resourcing, training and/or capability are at the levels required for success, and address gaps as required.
- Supplier Relationship Management - Lead and be responsible for the effective top to top management of both operational performance and strategic direction of partner and supplier relationships.
- Quality and Delivery - Select supply chains capable of meeting quality and delivery requirements. Be responsible for the quality and delivery performance of these supply
- chains and the resolution of any performance related issues. Be accountable for the definition, agreement and execution of improvement plans as required.
- Cost Management - Be responsible for cost performance relative to business and customer requirements. Deliver long term cost improvement in all relevant activities in line with business plans, including leveraging cost reductions across commodity/ category scope.
- Strategy - Develop, deploy, and communicate relevant commodity/ category/ supplier strategies, providing a clear vision and strategic framework for designated supply chain(s). Promote the integration of skilled cross functional teams to ensure that strategies meet current and future business/ customer needs.
- Strategic Sourcing - Be responsible for the effective planning and execution of sourcing and commercial activities to maximise the value proposition across all commodities/ categories.
- Processes and Procedures - Lead the team's compliance to company policies, processes, and procedures, ensuring all purchasing records and documentations are correct and maintained in line with regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Management - Nurture effective relationships with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external to the function in order to integrate functional priorities.

- Proven track record in Indirect supply chains and in leadership of large and diverse teams.
- Experience of working in complex organisations and in large, regulated manufacturing environments.
- High level of procurement and commercial acumen, backed up by relevant professional qualifications and/or accreditations.
- Demonstrable record of delivering and sustaining performance improvements through high performing teams, focussed on simplification, efficiency and waste reduction.
- Delivery and stakeholder/ customer focus.
- Being a role model for positive and engaging leadership.
- Displays energy, drive and urgency in all aspects of their role.
