Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Tutor to join our team. As a Tutor, you will be responsible for providing academic support and guidance to students of various ages and abilities. Your role will involve communicating effectively with students, assessing their needs, and delivering tailored tutoring sessions to help them achieve their educational goals.
**Duties**:
- Communicate with students to understand their specific learning needs and goals
- Plan and deliver individualized tutoring sessions in accordance with the student's curriculum
- Assess student progress and provide feedback on areas of improvement
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to enhance the learning experience
- Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
- Assist students in developing effective study skills and time management techniques
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to education
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student progress
**Skills**:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong tutoring skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
- Experience working with children or young adults in an educational setting
- Knowledge of various teaching methods and techniques
- Ability to educate and motivate students effectively
- Familiarity with special education practices is desirable
*Will need to have or be willing to take an Enhanced DBS check.
- 2 Years of referencing
- Adhere to Safeguarding policy
- Right to work
- First aid certificate bonus
**Job Types**: Part-time, Zero hours contract
Pay: £14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 - 16 per week
