Contract Specialist Compliance Auditor

Salary starting from £34,500

Permanent and home based with a minimum of 1 day per week based in the West Midlands offices and occasion national travel to other offices in London and Manchester

The Compliance and Audit team are responsible for maintaining and implementing an effective compliance regime, providing assurance that programmes are being delivered in line with contracts, guidance and legislative requirements across all areas of the business.

The role mainly involves working on a contract where Ingeus operates as a subcontractor. You will be required to effectively manage the audit requirements of the contract including scheduling and conducting internal and Delivery Partner audits in line withour annual schedule.

**As part of the role you will**:

- Facilitate external audits, conduct investigations, support with accreditations, compliance queries, and maintain accurate audit documentation
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all contractual guidance and relevant legislation, acting as an objective source of independent advice
- Conduct audits on internal operations and delivery partners, providing assurance that controls are operating effectively, and contractual and regulatory requirements are being met
- Design recommendations that are pragmatic and address the root causes of the underlying non-compliance identified
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders including external auditors, commissioners, supply chain partners and operational staff

**We need you to have**:

- Recent experience of working within a busy Compliance, Audit and Quality environment (consideration will also be given to applicants with experience working in an employability operational role at a supervisory level or above).
- Knowledge of contracts currently delivered by Ingeus UK and APM
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience and professional qualifications desirable e.g. CIA
- Broad experience of audit, including risk-based methodologies, risk management, controls, compliance, and industry best practice
- Proven experience in all aspects of planning and implementing audits
- Ability to interpret audit findings and communicate them in an effective manner to facilitate improvement where required
- Ability to influence stakeholders to agree and drive actions to completion
